Electron Microscopy Division
Description
The Electron Microscopy Division (DME) of the Central Services of Scientific and Technological Research (SC-ICYT) of the University of Cadiz is the unit in charge of providing services related to the structural and chemical characterization of inorganic and biological materials in the research area of the scientific and business community. Support activities for teaching and scientific dissemination are included in this service.
Lines of research
The lines of research in which the DME participates include characterization at scales ranging from micron to nanometer or angstrom, from:
- Heterogeneous catalysts.
- Graphene compounds.
- Structures for efficient photovoltaic devices.
- III-N Heterostructures.
- High quality In(GA)N structures for applications in opto and microelectronic devices.
- Synthetic diamond.
- Reinforced polymers.
- Materials for heritage monument conservation.
- Characterization of marine organisms.
